Customizing and decorating your planner with stickers is a fun way to stay on top of all of your daily tasks. There are tons of free printable planner stickers out there, but what if you use a digital planner? Well, you're in luck, because today we will be showing you how to convert those printable stickers into digital stickers. Before we started making digital items, we made printable stickers. So for this tutorial, we will be converting an old set of our printable stickers into a new set of digital ones!
Step 1: Save the Printable
Once you have found the printable you would like to convert, you need to access it and save it to your device. This tutorial is specific to pdf, so any file in PDF form will work. If you have the file in another form, such as jpeg, jpg, or png with a white background, you can skip to Step 3. If you already have the png with a transparent background, go ahead and skip to step 4.
Step 2: Convert PDF to image
This step is really easy. All you have to do is find an online file converter. If you already have one that you frequently use a trust, go ahead and use that one as long as it has the option to convert from PDF to either png or jpg. The ones I commonly use are listed below:
All you need to do is simply upload your PDF and select which file format you would like to use. At this point, it does not really matter if you save it as PNG or not.
I usually use Zamzar because it lists the pages individually and also allows you to download a .zip file. I believe that most of these sites do the same though.
Step 3: Give the image a Transparent Background
I am a big fan of Photopea for all my image editing needs. my favorite thing about Photopea is that it runs right through your browser; no download needed. If you have a specific app in mind, you can go ahead and use that too. Anything that will remove a background will work. You can also use the Magic Eraser app or clippingmagic.com.

Once you have the background removed and the image saved, you can proceed to the next step.
Step 4: Crop the Stickers out of the Image
Once you have the image of the PDF with a transparent background, the final step is to start cropping out the individual images. You can also do that in Photopea, but most devices have a crop option built right into the gallery. Again, you can also use just about any photo-editing app, as they usually have the crop feature.
NOTE: It goes without saying, but anytime you access a set of printable stickers and convert them to digital ones, remember that they are still for PERSONAL USE ONLY. You may not resell them as digital files. Even as digitals, only the creator of the designs has that authority.
Another Note: Most printable stickers may not have the same quality in print form as they do in digital. They will work best in smaller sizes when placed into your digital planner.
